Submissions are invited for the first TomSust Workshop on Tourism Sustainability and Regional Development which will take place at the Bruneck-Brunico Campus of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano from Monday 5th to Tuesday 6th November 2018.

The workshop aims to bring together top scholars working on tourism sustainability and regional development. The workshop will take the form of plenary sessions with discussions on the recent advances in tourism sustainability and regional development through an international perspective and through studies based on different fields and approaches.

Phd candidates are encouraged to submit their work and participate to the dedicated Phd session.

Outstanding papers will be published in an edited book with ISBN number.

The event is intentionally organized in such a way to favour interaction and to promote formal as well as informal open discussions.

While submissions in all fields of Tourism Sustainability and Regional Development are welcome, in particular we invite submissions

within the following fields:

  • natural sites
  • culture
  • climate change
  • community wellbeing
  • mobility
  • eco-labels
  • technology and virtual reality

and through the following approaches:

  • consumer behaviour
  • destination governance
  • EMS

 

Abstracts of approximately 1000 words are to be submitted by Friday 7th September 2018 via mail to linda.osti@unibz.it

 

Please indicate in the email subject the surname of the first author followed by the words Abstract and TomSust. For example: “Jones Abstract TomSust”

 

Abstracts must contain the following sections:

  1. Title
  2. Keywords (minimum 3, maximum 6)
  3. Background of the study
  4. Aims and objectives
  5. Methodology
  6. Results
  7. Discussions and research implications
  8. Indication whether it is a PhD paper
